Sniper Presets

Saving a Sniper setup so a whole configuration is one tap away.

A preset is a saved Sniper configuration. If you trade the same pair on the same timeframe most days, a preset turns that whole setup into a single tap.

Current Config:
Symbol: BTCUSDT.P
Side: Buy
Timeframe: 5m
Candle Lookback: 5
SL Buffer: $5
Take Profit: —

Note: TP price isn't saved in presets - only the mode is remembered.

Current Config is what the Sniper panel is set to right now — the values ➕ Add New Preset and 🔄 Update would save. It is a preview of the save, not of any existing preset.

Why the TP price is left out

A take profit is a price for one specific trade — it is stale the moment the market moves. Only the mode is remembered, so a preset saved in Take Profit mode reopens in Take Profit mode with the price blank, waiting for the number that fits today.

Initial Risk % is left out for a different reason: it belongs to your risk management rather than to any one setup, so it carries across every preset instead of being overwritten by whichever one you load.

The buttons

ButtonWhat it does
A preset's nameSelects it, revealing the actions below. 👉 marks the selected one, (Active) marks the loaded one.
✅ ActivateLoads the preset into the Sniper panel and returns you there.
🔄 UpdateOverwrites the preset with Current Config, after a confirmation showing what changes.
✏️ RenameRenames it. Names must be unique and non-empty.
🗑 DeleteRemoves it. If it was active, nothing is active afterwards.
➕ Add New PresetSaves Current Config under a name you type.

Updating shows you the diff

🔄 Update does not overwrite silently. It shows the old and new values side by side with the changed fields highlighted, and waits for ✅ Confirm:

🔄 Update 'BTC 5m' preset?

Old: BTCUSDT.P, Buy, 5m, LB:2, $10, RR:2
New: BTCUSDT.P, Buy, 5m, LB:5, $5, RR:2

The quick row

The top row of the Sniper panel holds up to two presets for one-tap loading, without coming here at all. A marks the one currently loaded.

The row always shows two presets when you have at least two saved, filling from your most recently used and topping up from the rest in the order you created them.

The checkmark tracks the values, not the tap

Change any field after loading a preset and the ✅ disappears — the panel no longer matches what was saved, so it stops claiming it does. This does not forget your choice: reopen Sniper fresh and the preset loads again. Only Activate, a quick-row tap, or adding a new preset changes which one is remembered.

Naming rules

Empty namesRejected — Name can't be empty.
Duplicate namesRejected, case-insensitively — A preset named 'BTC 5m' already exists.

A symbol a preset uses is protected

While any preset references a symbol, that symbol cannot be renamed or deleted from the symbol list:

Can't delete ETHUSDT.P - it's used in preset "ETH 15m". Delete the preset first.

Otherwise the preset would point at a symbol that no longer exists, and you would not find out until the trade failed.
