Positions

Viewing and managing everything currently open.

Positions is the panel for trades that already exist. It shows what your account is holding right now and gives you the three things you can do about it: scale in, move the target, or cancel what has not filled.

Where to find it

Main menu → 📋 Positions, or send /positions.

🟢 Open Positions (1):
• BTCUSDT: Buy 0.002 @ $77638.30

🟡 Pending Orders (0):

Everything here is read live from the exchange each time the panel opens or refreshes. It is not a cached view.

The balance block

LineWhat it means
🏦 Total BalanceYour wallet balance on the exchange.
💰 Available BalanceWhat is free to open new positions with — total, minus margin currently held.
📊 Margin UsageMargin tied up in open positions, in dollars and as a percentage of total.

If the exchange cannot be reached, these lines are replaced by a warning and the rest of the panel still works — the buttons do not depend on the balances.

Open positions and pending orders

Both lists are counted in their heading, so an empty account reads Open Positions (0) rather than leaving you unsure whether the panel loaded.

  • 🟢 Open Positions — filled and live. Each line is the symbol, direction, size, and average entry price.
  • 🟡 Pending Orders — placed but not yet filled, at the price you asked for. These hold margin but are not positions yet.

The distinction matters for every button below: Add To Position and Update Take Profit act on open positions, Close Pending Orders acts only on the unfilled ones.

The buttons

ButtonWhat it does
➕ Add To PositionScale into a position you already hold, within the risk the trade was allowed. See Add To Position.
🏁 Update Take ProfitMove the target on a live position. See Update Take Profit.
❌ Close Pending OrdersCancel unfilled orders. Open positions are untouched. See Closing.

Closing a position is done on the exchange

There is no "close position" button here. The bot places every trade with its stop loss and take profit already attached, so a position closes when one of those is hit. To exit early, close it in the exchange app.
